XXXX Engineers.
I cant get the spark plug wires off my 98 ZX2 Escort! So went and bought the Chilton manual. Surprise, the manual doesn't have a picture of my engine even though it's the right one. It tells me to remove the cover to uncover the top of the boot and twist and pull the wire off. Yeah right. Do I need a special tool to do this job. Only the head of the boot is uncovered after I removed the cover and since the opening is about 2 inches wide I cant get any leverage to grab the xxxx boot. Any ideas on what I could use to remove these boots?

What is going on? Hasn't anybody changed the plugs on a 98 zx2?
