NEED HELP

trying to hook up a tachometer on a 91 ford escort fi 1.9 distributorless ignition. The tach instructions refer to an after market shop manual but my chiltons only has 1 referense to a tach on a picture of the ignition module. Anyone had experience at this? Any info wuold be apreciated.

acording to my haynes manual the ecu has a tach wire on it too but that depends on if you have a eeciv or v ecu
