TX3 parts

About a week ago my ever reliable KE laser was rear ended, and written off (may it RIP), forcing me to start the search for a new car. I have been looking at the 4WD KF & KH Tx3's for some time now. However I am a little worried that since they are not the most common car on the road, getting parts form them would be quite hard if anything went wrong, esspecially anything to do with the transmission, which I have read is a week point on these cars. From what I know there are some Mx5 parts (the rear diff?), but what about everything else.

I would love to have one of these, but I don't want to find that I have to get rid of it in six months time because I can't afford to find the parts to keep it on the road. Also, is there anything in particular I should be looking out for on these cars? Thanks in advance for your help.

Re: TX3 parts

i have one and have helped others with these cars. Some parts are interchangable with 4 door siblings, eg headlights, tail lights, grills, front quater pannels, bonnets, mostly body stuff like that obversly not the door, rear quater, etc....

Motor wise they are quite cheap to run most parts cost similar to 4 door parts, some hard parts are gear box (der), rear diff, AC pump and a few other slightly altered parts most of which can be sourced from jap wreckers or even jap if required with out to much fus! Most of my parts i get from autobarn/repco places.
