Tx3 turbo upgrade

hey guys i totaly stuffed the turbo in my 1.8 l laser tx3 4wd kh2 and a bloke said that a 01-04 wrx turbo will fit with out 2 much trouble i was wondering if any one has dose this or knows of any oner sutiable turbo upgrades for my laser ive looked at rebuliding the old turbo but i think it will be more wise 2 upgrade the turbo for future serious mods any hell at all would be of great help thanx

dude go here
i personally have a Vf22 turbo (subaru style flange). you can buy these turbos cheap as and convert the back housing to suit laser type flange. if not you can do what i did and make a custom exhaust manifold and change it to subaru flange so you dont have to muck around again
the IHI turbos have a few advantages the biggest being that they are more compact than the garret alternative which means they are easier to fit and plumb.
