hi Rod, i have seen some of the biggest k/Watts in cars here but for a lot it dosn't convert on the 400 metre strip...your ute has nearly the best time at Calder for a 290 boss, your k/watts are probably the lowest of all of them....

Yeah I know what your saying though you wont run the MPH without plenty of horsepower. There is horsepower and shetland ponies, there is a difference between the two.
We can lift the rev limit now on the BA Ford though we have not yet decided if we will release this product. I think the boss engine will put a leg out of bed very quickly if given a big REV.

So you think better conrods will keep it all together or are there other issue's you believe need attention,
You shelved the twin turbo setup on the boss was it to do with the conrods??
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
By the way big mick APS stage II run a ET:12.5 at Calder tonight...very impresive in full street trim and has room to move with improving his 60 footer..

my XR8 = shetland ponie LOL

If you are going to REV the BOSS engine to say 6500 it will need billet conrods at a minimun, there may also be other issues though I have not looked at the issue in enough depth to say more.
We shelved the TT to suit the BA for a number of reasons (hopefully we will finish the project in the future), the main reason was our lack of confidence in Ford aftermarket consumers, it would heave been a 15K to 16K drive in/drive out install.
The other reason was we have 2 other significant TT projects on the go and under development, (the LS1 and 350Z) and we just want to finish those projects first as the BA is a difficult and time consuming engineering project.
I would definitely like to finish the BA 5.4 TT project, it would run in the 10's, with a little time and effort. What do you guys think, would a TT for the GT/xr8 have sales potential for the Aussie market.
Would definitely give the fastest LSI holdens a good run for their money :

Hi Peter
I dont think money would be the issue for the Ford aftermarket people there would be a potential there, just maybe the volume of customers required to make this project successful, this would have to be a decision made by yourself. But i would imagine it would be heaps bigger than 350Z
Cheers John

John the 350Z is a true global car, the Ford 5.4 BA on the other is only sold in Australia, A very small market. You really think that many BA owners would part with 15k for a TT conversion on the BA? Interesting. :hrm:
Ok i didnt take the global issue into it,i must agree with you
there,as far as the TT conversion would the cost be about the same as the Holden one's ? if so then maybe the percentage would be simular.
Cheers John

Thanks John, would be interesting to hear from other Ford owners on the TT issue, all feedback would be welcomed.
