Won't start

Hi Guys-------
Havin a strange problem with my 88 1/2 Escort. The car will run fine as it has been recently tuned. This happened to me twice in the last month, and one time about 2 years ago. I'll be driving with the car running good, shut the car off and then it won't start.
The battery is strong. The motor just cranks but won't turn over.
I'll wait a day or two and it will start right up, like nothing is wrong. The car has 34K on it. Any Ideas? Auto Repair people are stumped----------

You want my '89 LX Hatch for parts and sell it to you for cheap like $200, but I live in Alexandria Minnesota. Come on.

King, your selling your '89? Why? My car is driveable, it just has a little rust in front of the back wheel wells.

The reason why I'm selling it because I need something newer I'm getting a lot of grief from my dad and someone going to get hurt if there's an arguement but I don't want that to happen. Maybe a 93 GT or Pony, I would prefer the Pony then a GT.
