07 Ford 500 Right Rear Undercarriage wiring

This question is a long shot, I know. Several years back, I ran over a tire carcass onthe road. After that, I noticed a wire with a plug attached dangling, so I just stuffed it up, out of the way. No instrument panel indications that anything is askew. All exterior and interior lights are working.

I'm thinking its either something to do with the fuel filler assy or maybe the speed indicator (for ABS) for the rear rear wheel. But I would think either of those would produce a fault light. I will get underneath eventually and see what the wiring might go to. It has to be something as I doubt Ford would put wiring in that was not needed.

Thoughts??

Re: 07 Ford 500 Right Rear Undercarriage wiring

Jacked up the right rear of the car today and looked into this plug that is dangling. Carefully looking at it, the harness that the plug is attached to and bottom of a flange of the (I think) fuel vapor canister and the plug is (supposed to be) fastened to the top of that same flange of the canister. I believe it is just a test plug of some sorts. Does nothing and plugs into nothing that I can see.
