2005 Montego leaks - Ford Forums

My 2005 Mercury Montego leaks water onto the left inside kick pannel and onto the floor. In a hard rain you can see the water splash on the face of the kick panel. There have been numerous attempts by various dealers to repair to no avail. One dealer replaced the complete sun roof assembly, however the leak continues. Last week another dealer glued a rubber weatherstriping and advised its fixed. Next rain, still leaking. Have one more appointment with dealer, next appointment is with attorney to file under Lemon Law.

check the drain tube coming from the cowl ( the thing below the wipers @ bottom of windsheild) I have heard when this gets plugged it lets water run in behind the dash. take a garden hose & let the water run on the windsheild. it will drain into the cowl & if its plugged you will see it filling up & you should see water on the floor again.
