Today as I was driving, the check charging system warning light came on. I parked my car, shut it off, and it did not start again. Since the light came on while I was driving, I figured the alternator or the battery connection cables. I was able to jumpstart and drive to an auto service center about two blocks away. They told me the battery was completely dead, so I bought a new one. They installed the new battery, and checked the alternator, and told me everything was fine now. A few hours later after driving about 10 minutes, the check charging system warning light came on again!
The only other thing I can add is that the warning info does not continuously stay on. It comes on, then goes away. When I run a system check on my steering wheel, It states that the charging system is OK. Anyone have any thoughts on this?
