Hi all,
Today as I was driving, the check charging system warning light came on. I parked my car, shut it off, and it did not start again. Since the light came on while I was driving, I figured the alternator or the battery connection cables. I was able to jumpstart and drive to an auto service center about two blocks away. They told me the battery was completely dead, so I bought a new one. They installed the new battery, and checked the alternator, and told me everything was fine now. A few hours later after driving about 10 minutes, the check charging system warning light came on again! The only other thing I can add is that the warning info does not continuously stay on. It comes on, then goes away. When I run a system check on my steering wheel, It states that the charging system is OK. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

I'd recheck the charging voltage when the light is on. Should be 13-14 volts. Otherwise, you may have a cluster or wiring issue.
