Question Ford five hundred

Hello everyone I'm a new member and I was looking over the form and couldn't find anything about the Ford Five Hundred.
If this is the right form to post in let me know, I can defiantly re post this if necessary.

How ever i will post my issue and plee for help here.

I am the owner of a 2005 Ford Five Hundred Limited v6 3.0

recently I was on the highway and my engine just slowly lost all power, so i pulled over and attempted once but it would barely move. so i towed it home.

Since then I have changed the spark plugs and ignition coils, I bought a new battery, and replaced the fule pump and the bought a new fule filter. I check the alternator seems perfectly normal and the car now idles beautifully now. I cleaned the thortel body with the correct cleaner and cleaned the MAF. but once again No dice the exact same problem still exists. it feels fule staved and it turns over perfectly, but when you put the accelerate pedal even all the way down it will only rev to 1500-1900RPM tops and once you release it bogs back down to a low idle

I am completly lost on what to do, I really have a hard time trusting a dealer also probably wouldn't be able to afford the outrageous costs involved. any advice would be greatly appreciated. thanks Ford Forms, i love the content on this website already.

Re: Ford five hundred

Have you checked fuel pressure? May have a fouled fuel filter.

Re: Ford five hundred

Oops, missed the part about the filter, other possibility is a plugged cat.
