Please help cvt tranny problems

I have a 2006 500 with a CVT tranny. It has 130k on it. When driving if you accelerate to hard or you are gong down hill and give it gas going up it is like it falls out of gear it will rev up when you give it gas but will not go any where. If you pull over and turn it off and restart it it is fine. May go 20 miles may go 100 before it does it again., I called dealer first thing they said you need a new tranny and had not even drove it. Took it to local tranny place and they hooked it up and it came back with 4 codes. One of them was the Input output sensor and 2 others. Guy says that if I replace those at $575.00 it may fix it if not it may need some kind of neatrual saftey switch sensor and that is $1100.00. Any ideas any help. Been this way for a while was scared of the worse so I have been putting it off
