Hey all,
I'm the Mercury kid.
Last fall I inherited my grandmother's 2005 Mercury Montego AWD Premier in silver frost, God rest her soul.
Before this car she had a 2001 Grand Marquis, which was my grandfather's and before that she had a 1994 Cougar Bostonian, which my cousins now own.
I look forward to participating in this forum! :-)

Welcome from Braintree, MA!!! I lost my grandmother too back in 10/2005. I will always miss her. Hope you enjoy the Montego.

it is hard i think about her and my grandfather every day, and every time i drive my
merc.

i have many family members that own fords
cousin scott=2001 explorer sport black xlt 4x4
uncle tony=1999 f-150 red extra cab xlt 4x4 (before had a brown 88 ranger and 87 taurus wagon?
uncle jack=2003 explorer xlt 4x4 dark green (and previously had a 1994, same exact thing)
cousin jess=2001 escort green (was my papa's till we convinced him to give the car to her and stop driving which we will never hear the end to)
papa and nana have had a 87 sable, 88 tempo, 95 contour. ford was the first word i said, papa tought it to me.
dad had a 2000 taurus for work, mom had a 2000 village, aunt had a 1993 villager.

our family had strong ford roots, i love ford
my neighbor is a fleet mechanic for ford and has a 99 expedition and 04 f150 for work. he loves ford.

All I got was a 1993 Dodge Spirit (four years ago)!!! ...Mind you, my grandmother didn't pass, she just lost her license due to eye problems.

my dad had one for work, it was a 1994, and my grandma had an 88 before the cougar, it was her fathers, then hers, than my uncles, and now at a new york junk yard.
