confused 429 Power/in T Bucket

I Was Wondering If Any One Could Help Me?i Have A T Bucket I Race With A 429 The Car Runs 12.0 At 109 Mph The Motor Gets To About 5000 Then Starts To Lay Down, It Dont Want To Go Over 5000.the Motor Is Stock 1969 It Has 10.5:1 Pistons, Edelbrock Torker 2 Single Plane Manifold, 750 Double Pumper ,edelbrock Performer Cam Int/exh Duration @50 234/244 Lift Is 556 Int/581 Exh. Heads Have Been Ported/polished With 3 Angle Valve Job & Roller Rockers(adjustable Valve Tran)trans Is C6 With 3200 Stall And Shift Kit.rearend Is 9 Inch With 411.ignition Is Eltronic Ignitor Upgrade.people At The Track Tell Me The Car Should Run Mid To High 10's. What Should My Total Timing Be I Live In Co.was Wondering Next Step To Try To Make This Sucker Run And Why It Wont Go Over 5000 Thanks
