One of my mates has his ED Xr6 for sale.... im looking at upgrading to it.... how much betta is the ED than an EB... and is it worth it? its not going to cost me much money to upgrade, so i figure it'd be worth gettin!
its a 1994 ED XR6, 5spd, Momo Steering wheel, Cruise, Stock 15" mags, 2.5" mandrel bent exhaust (redback), CAI, Bonnet Repainted (several stone chips), 10 stacker, polynesian green. (147k)
is it worth a 500$ upgrade...
mine is a 1993 EB2 S-XR6, 5spd, Momo Steering wheel, Cruise, EF 16" XR8 mags,
Cd player, Black Pearl. (130k)
any ideas would be great!!! ... just gotta love those front lights!!!

$500 sounds good.
know the history of it?
how is yours running?
the mods alone on his car make it a bargain for upgrading, just depends on the nic of both cars i guess.

my mates a 2nd year apprentice mechanic he's had it for 4 weeks, hes goin overseas, so he needs the money. he bought it from his neighbour, which i know well... so its been looked after. hes done heaps of maintanence lately, paul has just done the major services on it. replaced diff oil, gearbox oil, brake fluid, coolant, engine oil, new filter... etc.. bit betta condition to mine, but hes sellin it for what it owes him...8500! so its a good price!

In my opinion, it would come down to which vehicle has lower kms. It is well worth it if the ED is in better condition, but conversely it would be a decent 'upgrade' going from an ED with higher kms to an EB with lower kms.
Engines, etc are basically the same. Most people prefer the ED's styling because of its quad headlight front end, but the EB has a sleeper look which I quite like.
As for extras, we're talking minor things like CFC-free air conditioning where fitted, side intrusion beams in the doors, rear centre lap/sash seatbelt, different (though not necessarily better) 15" wheels, and so forth.
