Hey..just wondering what *should* win- my mates EL sedan with 3.08 diff and 140000k's or my mums EL wagon with 3.23 dif and just on 80000k's. I know our car has been looked after...and i know the other one gets push really hard sometimes. Do you think that the age and worse diff ratio will counter the extra weight of the wagon? The sedan is a column shift too (both autos)
And tips for how to start off (on like a 0-100 or 0-400m) would also be good.
Thanks,
DM
i put dibbs on the sedan btw if u want to launch good stall it to 2000 rpm and then launch it works a treat with my NL. my 6 flogs VS GRANGES hehe mind you i have the concorde with the XR engine and cat back system.
Sedan ay...what if the sedan is full o petrol and the wagon is nigh on empty?...the wagon also has nice light mags and less crap lying round.
Stalling ..i'm assuming thats brake+accel...don't that break ur gearbox etc?
neway..i'll see when i get P's...few weeks now...grrr
thanks
DM
ok if u stall it for like 30 min yea it will cause damage, doing it for a few seconds wont do ne thing, if u do it for long periods what it will do is overheat the torque converter, wagon is heaver than sedan, and if you want an even drag then why handycap the situation??
stalling up the converter like that is just like dropping the clutch. Just don't do it ever set of lights and youll be cool
