Went down to Union Grove again, to try to pop an 8 sec run. Well, I popped alright. A hole right thru #8 piston.

BUT I did get a great video and a great pic of the underside of the car. (glad I kept it clean all these years)..............

Don't think the pic was worth the damage...but it is a great pic.

Yeaaha! Ride 'em cowboy! Nice launch. Was that running too much nitrous or you drop a valve?

It was a cheapo NOS nitrous setup. (they're made for sbc/bbc intakes), not fords. It went way lean on #8 cylinder and toasted the piston. Everything inside looked pristine except for #8 piston. Top land smoked, and aluminized coating (from the piston), everywhere.........................It's all good now tho..:>)
