Sarkis Bros - Fire Sale

Anybody see the latest Dragster magazine. Full page add on Sarkis Bros selling Doorslammer, Centura & Transporter. There were rumours of ATO on their back re: How they acquired $10mill of assets. Looks like maybe some truth and have to pay back ATO

Apparently the tax theory was not what it seemed to be. I've since heard that the sale is due to the new Top Fuel they're building which makes the transporter not long enough for that with the sale of the doorslammer & centura funding the build of the car. We shall wait and see.

well your second theory cant be 100% correct as the lamatina bros. have the same transporter setup and the quite comfortebly fit a Fuel car in the with quite a few spares :)

Maybe that's due to Lamatina having the transporter purpose built for the TF whereas Sarkis transporter was purpose built for 3 cars ie: 2 x Centuras & Doorslammer. Makes more commercial sense doesn't it to have a purpose built trailer than modify the existing trailer. By the way the original post was just a rumour as to why the sale. The 2nd post was not intended as a theory as the info came through a mate of mine who crews on Aaron Lynch's doorslammer and also works for Brett Stevens in the fabrication shop which the talk of the TF came up last weekend at WSID.
