I'm having my engine built for my 71 Mach1, and I will need to replace my 650 Double Pumper Vacumm Secondary Holley Carb. Since I'm new to this, I thought I should ask someone with Cleveland Street/Strip experience on your opinion of what would be best for my set up...this will be an occassional weekend 1/4 mile warrior and driven on the street some. I would say 10%strip 90% street . I don't have all the specs, but this is close to what I think it will end up being .. 456 gear, C6 Trans, 3000 stall, drag shocks 3" X Pipe, Hooker Comp Headers, 2 Chamber Flo's, Changining Mechanical Fuel Pump to Electric. MSD Ignition, Curved Advance
351C Ram Air ( Functional Plenium, Vents, but not with Breather) , Stroking it to 394 ci, All Forged, Approximately minimum 600 Lift Hydraulic comp Cam, or may opt for a roller if I can come up with the extra doe. I'm not sure what the cam duration will be. The engine builder said the target is 450-500 HP and torqe above 400 FTP . Closed Chamber 4V Heads, or could opt for the Aussie Heads-not too late, guide Plates, Single Groove Valves, Double Springs, Crane Roller Rockers,351 Torker Intake, Engine should turn 7500 rpms without problem. I'm hoping to get it under 13 seconds but not sure if It will until I try after rebuild.. It was stated that I could go up to an 850 CFM but not sure eninge would do well on the street with an 850, strip may be ok, but let me know what you think ? I would greatly appreciate it . Try to keep in mind I would like to keep my functional Ram Air, so I would need Vacuum Secondaries ..
Thanks
