My Capri is a 1990 Capri SA Turbo, weighs a bit under 1 tonne according to rego, and is running 12psi (8.1 is stock for those who dont know), but earlier tonight this WRX wanted to race, thinking id get killed i thought i'd give it a go anyway, and i absolutely smoked him, after this we had a bit of a play, an outrun challenge, and after blowing some smoke in his face from my front tyres it was on. We got it up to about 150 cornering, and yep, he couldnt even stay close to keeping up, but eventually i got sick of beating this guy so we called it quits lol.

not sure what year model, mainly because it was bodykitted so i couldnt tell from body shape. Had bug-eyed headlights.
As for kw, not 100% on that, havent had a dyno since i bought it a few weeks ago. But as an estimate:
going on my physics calculations with the turbo running on 90% efficiency 170-180kw at the flywheel running 12psi. Not much compared to the Sti, however its well under 1000kg, on the rego its in the 800's, so with driver i would imagine 900-950kg max.
I think you need to have a look at your calculations! Without looking it up I think the Capri turbo had 100kW stock, 8lb boost is just over 0.5 bar so you're now looking at 0.75-0.8 bar. Just on volumetric increase (from 1.5 to 1.8 times engine capacity) that would increase power to 120kW. Also the Capri weighs a tonne or just over - the figure on the rego sticker is from fairy land.
coz a capri will never beat an sti, especially cornering? wtf were u thinking man? baby steps man, maybe you could have said u beat an auto '88 pulsar SSS vector sedan or something, THAT would have been more believable.
good luck with blowing smoke in ppls faces, remember, the more smoke - the faster your car is!!
