I have always had a good street car on hand. When my wife and I got together 14 yrs ago I had a '80 Formula Firebird with a built OLDS 455 in it. 500 horse 650 lb ft. It scared the holy hell out of her when she drove it. Well, throughout the yrs she had grown accustomed to my street cars and now will tell me they dont have enough HP for her, HA!! Well Okay, I used to have a '04 GT Stang 5 spd, barely stock, had 24 lb injectors, big TB, MAF Bassani exhaust, blah blah, she drove it every day. I hardly ever drove it. And one time we decided to see what kind of traps it would pull. So we went to HRP in Baytown TX, as we usually do on the Wkend, and I put three runs in and could not best 13.9, 1.8 60ft, tires would not stick at all. Dammed if my old lady didnt run two times and crushed me with 13.6 twice, AND her 60 ft was 1.6 LMAO. What was really funny though is her last run she never came back around to us in the lot, got towed back to the front AFTER running into the gravel pit at the end!!!She says (and I quote) " I was having so much fun I went ahead and hit 5th!!" she landed in it man, hard. Flat spotted the generals on it skiddin into the pebble trap. Just thought it was funny she bested me(20 yr mechanic,25 yrs racin), and got to experience the trap. Any how, I hope all you guys enjoyed the story, and please take care when performing any shinnanigans....sp?
