i raced against a 2006 6.0 liter GTO in longview, tx. He got me from the first light to the second one, but i got him from the second light to best buy which is a little bit more than a 1/4 of a mile. he didnt think my old 5.0 in my lincoln could take him. we both laughed.

Dude IDK about this... either the guy you raced was a horriable driver, his goat was sick or you lincoln is modded and built all to hell. I drive a stock 5.7 GTO and these cars are mighty strong. I congrat you on your win but think seriously about this, you lincoln is a 100 more pounds in weight and 175hp less if your car is putting out still original power. and based on its age if its stock or close I bet it isnt even doing that good. I'm not a FoMoCo hater but this is a serious mismatch.
