Iam making a 61 ranchero into a fun car as well. As far as rearends go i know the mavericks rear end will fit but it is a 8" I went with a 1967 mustang rear end its a tight fit but well worth it, its a 8.8". as parts go 1960-1963 falcons will work, 1960-1963 rancheros will work, 1960-1963 comets will work. Im doing a 5.0 swap with a 4 speed toploader =) so if you have any questions let me know i may be able to help ya
