Re: 1975 XB Falcon Coupe - (Moffat Racing)

There used to be one of these at Nyngan NSW, I never realised that the colour scheme was factory. Its been a few years since I've been out there so I dont know if it's still about or not

Re: 1975 XB Falcon Coupe - (Moffat Racing)

Thanks again for the pics Blurter.

They have highlighted a couple of inconsistencies with the current paint. Off to to the paint shop....one day!

I was really impressed with the response from Moffat...don't wanna delete the email! What a legend, and now an Aussie to boot!

Here's a XB GT Falcon with the paint code - Y045 only one of this colour.

Interesting stuff JG33.

Seems that special orders with multiple colours have extended Paint Codes (i.e. Y422, Y045 etc..) as apposed to just one letter or one letter and one number. Do GTs with paintouts have a letter and a number? I was thinking Y (primary colour), # for paint out, # for colour coded bumber..Anyone know?

The paintouts & chrome bumpers were options on the XB GTs that weren't listed on the compliance plates. (not 100% sure about the non-black paintouts).

Ok CoupeCruiser09, i've found your specs here. I don't know if you have already spoken to the historian here, sounds like you may have. I'll check for you anyway and see what we can come up with. Unfortunately when you ask for specifics on a car that age there isn't a great deal of info sometimes. You're lucky in the fact that it is a GT... there is much more information on them than anything else of that era.

I'll see what I can do for you.

Felicity,

It's not a GT (I wish). I can provide VIN if any help...
