Wink 2V head - Wanted to buy

Hi guys -

I have a 1974 XB sedan with the standard 250 ci 6 cylinder engine. I'm chasing a 2V head for this engine, as everyone I have spoken to highly reccomend changing the head over for a bit more beef

Does anyone know where I can find one of these hard to come by heads? Better yet is anyone selling one? What can I expect to pay for one of these?

I am restoring this car - and I want to keep it a 6 as converting it to an 8 is a bit much for my budget.

Current specs~
1974 XB 500 sedan
250 ci (pre crossflow)
Standard carter single throat carbi
LSD
4 speed floor manual (converted from column shift)
GT bonnet and tail-lights

Planned (engine) work
2V head
Extractors
Holli (or equivalent 2 barrel carbi)
Cams
2.5" straight through exhaust system

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Re: 2V head - Wanted to buy

There was one on EBay not long ago - complete 2V motor for $500. Might even still be on there.

Re: 2V head - Wanted to buy

I've got one, in NZ though.
$400, tidy, no rust, been repainted bright red, has valves and can throw in a valve train too.
Could need new valve guides, but I think they just need a clean, may need to be refinshed on the mounting surface, has a few tiny pits, nowhere near where it matters.
I'll try and get some pics soon.
