The big Block Lima engine is a relativly easy fitment into an XA - XC Falcon. There are kits around.

Lima is the 429 / 460 family of Ford Big Block engines.

Pacemaker makes engine mounts that allow the 385 family to go into XW to XF. Pacemaker also make off the shelf exhaust headers that hug the block and dont foul the engine bay. They are a good price (about 400) for what they are.
A non solenoid clacker style starter is required to fit under the extractors or a gear reduction unit (not recommended for a daily driver) and a 500 + CCA battery.
A short housing C6 will bolt up using the existing last position holes on the FMX / C4 trans mount although a wel lbuilt C4 is the go due to weight and parasitic loss. A powerglide dipstick is a good addition as the factory one is pretty impossible to get to unless you go the C4.

The XBGT 9" rear is a perfect addition and will probably need no "biasing"

First thing to dump is the intake and throw an alloy Edelbrock for a mild motor or a single plane for a hottie.
Cleveland dizzy is a straight swap.
Heads need work if you want big power but even a stocky has BAGS of torque.
A standard crossflow v8 radiator is fine but I recommend getting an electric solo or booster pump with the factory pump.

Plugs are easier to change than a clevo.

Building a BBF is not cheap. You will need twice the budget of a 351, but then ITS A BIG BLOCK :)

Glad to assist if you get stuck...

Clacker / Clapper starter was standard fitment on all 351s.
