GasPumpRob Registered User Join Date: Jan 2006 Location: Southern Ca Posts: 1	48 ford vin help Hello, I am new to this forum and was wondering if someone out there can help me. I just purchased a 1948 Ford super deluxe two door sedan and it came with a title but has not been in use for 20 years. The Dmv requested a VIN verification , but I cannot find the VIN number. I have cleaned the upper left and right front frame rails in search of it and also cleaned the top of the engine block near the intake both sides. The book says left upper frame rail near the cowl. Has anyone out there run into this. Thanks, Rob
