Bernie Smiths' Classic car yard

G'day guys and girls,

Just interested in knowing if anyone has dealt with, or knows someone who has, Bernie Smiths' car yard at the bottom of Mt. Alexander rd., Flemmington in Melbourne??

Occasionaly they have some ok looking xb coupes, xy's etc and some of them are advertised to come with mechanical warranties. Ive seen alot with 1 year warranties and even a few with 3 year. Does anywhere else do this on such old cars?

Any info, stories or whatever would be good!

Thanks everyone

Aaron

be careful with so called "warranties" aaron,

read the fine print,
some of these warranties only cover certain things, like things that run in oil are covered, but electrical things arnt. Also some warranties state that you have to get your car serviced at a certain place on a regular basis (say every 6 months for example).. if you miss a service (which are usually higher priced than a normal service) then your warranty is void.

also some warranties will only cover up to "x" amount of dollars. For example if you blew a head gasket that was going to cost you $1600 to fix, the warranty mite only cover the first $1000, leaving you to fork out the other 600 bux.
