They will interchange but the XR-XT have a different pattern for the centre ridge than the XW-XY.

Early XW had a different pressing on the underside frame than late XW around where the bonnet pins go through
late XW same as XY

so if i was to use an xt bonnet on an xw it wood look relatively normal and will line up ok.

Will fit & line up ok but will look WRONG because pressing in center of bonnet skin is different
