I need to buy one of these for my XW and was wondering what sort of price would i be looking at for a 2nd hand one. I know alot of places sell recond ones for around the $300 mark but i intend to do my own reconditioning and modifying so id rather a second hand one in good condition.

I have seen them at swap meets.

The ones I can remember were in pretty crappy condition and were going for around $130.

There is a place I have seen in either a Ford mag or street machine who do a repo one and from the photo's they look ok.

I will have a look if your interested.

are you after a genuine one or an aftermarket one. i got a brand new fibreglass one a little while ago for about $100. its good quality too.

Yeah i've seen them but i've got my eye on a 2nd hand one and thought id get an idea of what they might go for before i bought it.

I paid $80 for mine, needed a new pin through the lid, and had been cut away to fit a hurst shifter. I just cut a bit of aluminium to fit in the section where the shifter goes and put a rubber boot on it and it looks like it was made that way.
They sell for around $100 here with no badges and chrome missing.
