Rarely see mention of the EB gt on this site It was a purpose built GT and if you have had the pleasure of driving one you would know what I mean by pleasure. The manual is the one to drive it drives just like a big go-kart and the torque at all speeds is amazing, the BA GT goes better but it just does not have the same feeling--------Comments

I,m not sure if i would call an EB a "classic" just yet mike.Perhaps you have the wrong forum ,eh bro.
Hmm,
very interesting. From an aussie point of view. the EB GT was the re-release of the GT line in OZ......its almost 15 years old, and given its re-vriginised status i'd be tempted to call it almost classic....despite the stock headlights (the ED's were better and the EL (XR) the toughest!
I think the EB GT is bordering on being a classic. There are alot of cars out there that are alot newer than the EB that a huge number of people considering classics (known an instant classics). For example, the Mazda MX5 (Miata) is widely considered a classic, as is the Nissan 350Z.
Edit- Oh to answer the question, I wish I could have the chance to drive one of these beasts. Certainly not the best looking GT out there (although nothing could look worse than the EL GT) but they do have a very intimidating look about them and never fail to draw attention from the street. I think it's a bit of a shame that there re so many 6 cylinder replicas out there.
