I was enjoying a good read about how my car is faster than Holdens etc. All the specs, speeds and features of the fastest cars in Australia in 1977 are covered in a 10 page article. I had a chuckle at the stuff they used to do on public roads in Australia in the '70s.
But this mag I bought on Ebay has had a couple of Holden pics cut out of the middle of the article so it's incomplete.

Anyone got a copy of this mag? I just fancy a pic or scan of the page without the holes cut in it.

I remember reading that article when I was a Kid and it was first printed. The year after that I got my first car, a ZF Fairlane. Now I feel old.

Peter I have that mag, bought it when it came out, used to buy all the mags that had road tests on XC's. Once I get my old scanner working with XP I will send you whatever you are missing. One more thing the 1/4 mile times on that test were slow. I took my standard 351 auto GXL to Castelreagh drags in 1980 when it had 40,000km's on it and it always ran 15.2@90mph. The only change was the bumping up the timing and a block off plate for the EGR valve which mechanics were fitting in the late 70's and charging a fortune for.

if you don't get the scanner cooking then a digital pic should suffice. The 4th and 5th pages of the story are the ones I'm missing.

I have that mag. And the one where they drive the XC from Sydney to Perth in 29 hours or something like that. They complain when it costs them $26 to fill up the long range tank somewhere in the outback , lol
Ps: I have one of those EGR block off plates!
