Fat Xb

Hey guys,

Got the new Street Machine mag today & on the cover is the black FAT GT (XB GT hardtop).

This thing is probably the best hardtop I've seen. Looks like a perfectly restored XB at first glance, but is running all modern gear.

Anyone seen this car before? It said in the article that it was at Summernats this year but I must have missed it.

I'll scan a pic or two if anyone's interested.

Matt

Re: Fat Xb

I agree, that is one nice car. I was most impressed with the motor & engine bay (injection & ignition systems and lack of any accessory belts).

Re: Fat Xb

Nice ornament and well done, but they handle this piece with gloves when they move it, and it does not start not drive anywhere, just in case a bit of dirt goes somewhere.
Come on start it up and drive it when finnised with the circuit, I hope that this is what they are gonna do with it as showmobile's should come and go.
It is some one's car and he/she can do whatever that turns them on , but not my cuppa tea, in not being able to use it.

Re: Fat Xb

I too think it's a waste if you don't drive it but it's the owners choice.

This guy intends to "drive it like he stole it"....so he says.

Re: Fat Xb

Well it's the owner's choice to drive it or not but I'd have to admit if I had a vehicle like that and spent alot of dough I'd be a bit reluctant to drive it with the idiot's on our road's these day's, but I'd still drive it just not very often.

Re: Fat Xb

It certainly is one very nice car. It has been in Ford Performance mag as well, only a single photo near the back of the mag though.

That XB looks tuff! I'll have to check it out next time I'm at the news agents.

Re: Fat Xb

Its certainly is one of the best cars i have ever laid my eyes on and is the inspiration for my XW but i must say even if my XW came out as good as that i would still be driving it, just means alot more cleaning.
