Heh heh, well if he does sell it you're coupe would've just grown in value, big time!

Hey Spoonta, was there some kind of GT club run going on near Melbourne on Sunday? saw a sh*tload of XW's, XY's and Mustangs driving down Dynon Road yesterday.

Well, if it's 100% immaculate, and I mean redone interior, undercarriage and so on to showroom standrard I wouldn't be laughing too much. Yes the price sounds steep but answer me this, how much would a completely restored one be in 'perfect' condition be worth anyway? You find it hard getting one for under $17,000 IMO. Do any of you guys remember that XY GT Replica show car for sale a while ago it was electric blue I'm pretty sure. The guy was asking $30,000 and most people on this forum weren't laughing at that.

The XY GT replica showcar is still forsale..... and was also laughed at by the members of most GT clubs...
I agree, it costs the same to restore any car but restoring a genuine car is investing not wasting money.
For 35K you could buy a good genuine XA/B GT sedan anyway..
Id rather have any model genuine GT than an XY replica.

For the money this guy probably wants (reserve not met) you could also probably pickup a genuine car anyway.
