54H is the body designation for a falcon gt sedan. As for ID, there are diffrent factors in each model. ONLY falcon gt's have the 54H bodyshell. Hardtop gt's are 65H.

Ok thanks for that, is there any way to tell a 54H from a NON 54H body?
I find this quite funny. On another thread you are giving advice on IDing an XA GT, and now you are asking about a 54H......
It allways worrys me when people ask about identifying 54H bodys...
54H is the GT falcon body shell identification.
Only GT Falcons have 54H body shells.

How do you identify a 54H body and what the hell is a 54H body??
54H is a GT sedan. 65H is GT Coupe. On the XA and XB the quickest thing to look for is the rear radius rod mounts. Other than that the 54H is pretty much the same as any 351 twin exaust body. Same goes for the 65H.
The rest of the bodys are:
54A, Falcon Sedan
54B, Falcon 500 sedan
54C, Futura Sedan
54D, Fairmont Sedan
54H, Falcon GT Sedan.
The 54H is also unique in it only being available as a 351 Dual exaust car. The other bodys have sub sets for sixes, sixes with air, 302 single exaust, 302 dual exaust, 351 single exaust and 351 dual exaust.
Confusing isnt it?
Steve

Thanks RPO-083,
If you open your eyes you will see that in the other post i explained that you should take some one who knows theses GT's inside and out and gave a hyperlink to the gt website that has all the GT codes.
Just asked a simple question that's all!!

Thanks so much for your insite into this!!
Ive just heard of 54H this and 54H that (like those on AMCS) and was a little confused.
I now have a clearer picture.
Thanks RPO-083,

I must of mis-interpreted the tone of the other post. It sounded like you were giving advice on IDing GTs.
