Installing Sports Cluster Dash XC

I am replacing my original dash with a sport dash from that time. It just has the tacho and oil. I have unattached everything except for the speedo cable and the multi point cable. I am having trouble squezzing my hand behind it and am wondering how to detatch the cables. If anyone has any ideas on how to get better access to the cables or tell me how to unattach them it would be much appreciated.

The only thing stopping you from pulling it out will be the speedo cable, It snags on the wiring or the dash frame or whaterver else is in there. Reach under the dash and find it and push it out in the direction of the cluster. this will allow you to drawer the cluster out more and reach around and disconnect everything.

the speedo cable has a plastic ring like clip on the end that holds it to the speedo. you sqeeze it or push it to one side while pulling the cable to make it release.

Remeber to fit the correct oil pressure sender to the engine as you now have a guage rather than just the light.
