Hey guys,

I was sitting back in my rusted out GXL in the backyard... man, those seats are comfy!. anyway, I figured I would strip her down and get all her good parts off and sell her to my brothers mate who wants a demolition car in the next rally.

I know I know... It's a shame. I'll be shedding a tear as I see her go, but she's too far gone to do anything with now. And just so I redeem myself a bit here... she was gone too far when I picked her up for $100 2 years ago. The sills are rusted out, as is the boot channels and the doors are full of water and frogs. Seats are great tho, I'm going to hang on to them.

I wonder.. how difficult do you reckon it would be for a locksmith to convert the GXL hinged fuel cap into a look-a-like GT one with a lock. I like the hinged caps, but not enough to have one that doesn't lock. I like to use the fuel I pay for.

Another one bites the dust! What colour is/was the interior? Got any bits worth selling from it? Nothing in particular I want, just curious.......

Couldn't be helped xcgxl.

There's some pretty nice bits'n'pieces. It has 3 of the windowledge stainless... 3 of the door trims are in alright nic. Not perfect, sun damage.

The GXL dash is there, although the tool who took it out before me snapped the plastic around most of the mounts on the instrument cluster. Not too badly.. repairable.

Similar with the black centre consol. It looks perfect untill you pull it up. Some nut had tried with a hacksaw to cut out the metal plate around the shifter. Thankfully with a bit of fibreglass it's repairable.

Um... thats about it. The courtesy lights are missing. It's got a set of 14x7 jellybean mags on it that I was thinking of getting polished up and putting on my B. Depends on cost. Bumpers are good, except for a 1" crease in the rear left corner of the rear bumper. Pity.

The grille and lights are undamaged. It's a circular headlight grille though.

That's about it really.

Just looks like a standard grille to me. It has 1 set of circular headlights on it, with no driving light rings. That's standard isn't it? Did they have rings like the XB's? I dunno much about the xc's. B's are more to my liking.
