what carburettor did the Phase 3s have? was it an 800 Holley?

Holley 780cfm - I believe it was a double pumper but I'm not 100% sure, could have been vac sec.

It was a 780 vacuum secondary.

It was a 780 CFM Vac secondary square bore LIST NO 7010 or 4610 (R3310-1,R4653 for motorcraft supply) on choke horn with front swing floats & secondary metering plate, BLOODY GOOD CARBIE I killed 2 x red 308`s 1 x 350 chev under the one I had before it left me on top a 351 clevo. Purchased another one a few years ago at a garage sale still with Motorcraft tag on it, Bolted on top 302 clevo and it was just as good as the old one.

Buy a copy of the XY GT HO Phase III Service Manual Supplement from GT Ford Performance , Niddrie , Vic....if you want to see what one looks like. They are reproduction , and I think they are still available.

How many gallons of fuel went through it?

I have never made a point of keeping records of fuel used put let me say this.

If I had put as much brown ale through me as it had fuel through it I would not be sitting here typing this.
