I would be appreciative if someone could post pictures of the remote boot opener on a coupe. I am specifically interested in the detail inside the boot particularly at the catch mechanism. Thank you.

My XD Fairmont Ghia has a remote boot opener. Little handle with cable on the floor next to drives seat. You may be able to see if it's compatible.

Or you could consider an electronic door solenoid somehow with a push button under the dash.

I dont know if it will help, but there is a" hot rod builder" magazine ,that has alot of actulaters ,electric boot and door openers ,shaved door hinges and lots of tips. Sorry about the spelling, chris.
