I need to get a new / good second hand seat belt for my xc ute. I think its the same seat belt as a coupe cause the bit where it rolls up in to ( real technical i know) is 2/5 ths up the side of the car.

Where can i source one from? Can i just get one from any x series and it will fit or does it specificially need to come from a coupe or ute. Hard to find and exspensive i think.

They sell new seat belts a places like supercheap but dont know if the will fit?

Ideas or comments appreciated

I went through the same dilemma!!
I ended up using XD wagon rears (back ones are usually in much better nic)
and fitted them lower down the cabin panel to hide the mechanism, and the
XD's are a little longer.
If you want new ones made, give HEMCO a call in Ballarat on (03) 533341213.

How much work was involved in re mounting the seatbelts lower? What exactly did you have to do LTD Ute?

I brought new ones for my XB ute 2 years ago from my local spare parts place. If they are the same as the XB, they mount on the B pillar (near the rear shelf). Pulled them out of the Ute when I wrecked it.

Hi chartoo,
I just found a spot lower down, drilled new holes, used the existing
mounting plate and reinforced the tray area with steel plate.
Ask xd351ute if he's still got his old(new) ones.
