Throttle cable fitment to xw falcon

Gday,
Just wondering if it is possible to fit a throttle cable to an xw in place of the standard control rod? Anyone done it?

Thanks

Yep, I've done it to the ZC - and it is dead easy.
You need an XD accelerator pedal assembly - the one that goes up and over the steering column - the cable exits the firewall beside the clutch master cylinder.

I am using an XD cable, but I think an XE/XF cable is a bit better due to the larger plastic plate at the firewall

The XD pedal screws to the firewall with two brackets that have two screws each.
One of the brackets uses holes from the original pedal assembly and the other requires two holes drilled - on the ZC there were two indents in the firewall where the holes needed to go - gotta love those Fords :-)

No worries.
If you have any other questions about fitting late model X-Series parts into the early model X/Z-Series Falcons and 'Lanes, give me a holler - I have done quite a bit of it to the ZC and am currently doing an XF everything into a ZD conversion...

I've done much the same conversion to my ZC, but I used an XB pedal bar. The conversion was as simple as mentioned above. I'll post some pics when I get a chance.

I am going to have a go at it as I have just got my motor back from being built! 347 stroker 440hp @ 6000 with 385nm but a healthy 445nm torque @ 3000 rpm.
Cant wait.
