Hi all

I had a bloke call me the other day, prompted by my add in the trading post. He wasnt after the car but was after an idea of what his coupe was worth. Dont ask me why he called me but i gave him the best advice i could. Lets see if i was right.

He has a 74 XB Falcon 500. Stock, original engine and matching numbers. Little rust, rear windscreen is rust free, just a small amount in a mudguard and a door. Original white interior. Its a column shift auto, which i found a bit unusual. No options that he knows of.

I estimated it to be worth around $4-4500 but i wouldnt mind a second opinion.

well the one on ebay is $5000,mines in the f/s section,for $5000 sounds preety close to me.

not sure bout the colour, i think that bronzy brown a lot of the XBs came out with. Probably a bit vague there sorry. Dont have a paint code... :/

You sound pretty close XC Coupe 78 without actually seeing the car...

Should have offered to sell it on consignment, and with a clause that you could drive it until you sold it!

The column auto does sound unusual.

haha thats not a bad idea, EBXR. The column shift auto is unusual, bit of a turn off really. Thats what i would have through would have brought the price down...He's an old bloke who bought it three years ago and is now looking to sell it. If anyones interested i can pass on his number.
