car must have been running badly ... all this white smoke came from the rear .. needed new rings I think:s6:

Looks like someone put a chock or something under the front wheels or a chain to the diff as a prank!!:oo1:

Or it could be an XB Coupe related brake problem.
I think I remember reading it somewhere that the front brakes are prone to locking up as this picture shows.
Coincidence or braking fault...you be the judge.

I've since read that if you tap the brake pedal repeatedly you can disengage the front calipers and be able to drive away.
Handy hint.

I remember Dad's old XB 302 sedan having the same problem in front of the Wommera Police station.:s6: Funnier still was that a yank in a new 'vette got the blame.

the 'engine problem' happened about 10 years ago ( the XA isn't my first coupe by a long shot ! ) I couldn't trace what the problem was but it disappeared shortly after the photos were taken ... I never did find out why it happened :s6: :s6: :s6: :s6:
