Hello all,

Just wondering if the automatic transmissions for the Ford XA range was mounted on the steering column (column stick auto). Are there any advantages/disadvantages of this setup, or is it just a matter of getting used to? Thanks!

The only advantage of a column shift auto is that it allows for the use of a bench seat. The disadvantage is too many linkage rods & bushes. Stick with a t-bar shifter if you have bucket seats. Mal.
