Can anyone tell me if a XB GT 4 dr sedan with the vinyl roof removed be less valuable and collectable than others out there.

Not to me it wouldn't. I would not buy a GT with a v/roof no matter what.

I'd say it depends if the buyer wants the car to be as it left the factory or not. I don't mind the vinyl roofed cars myself so if thats what the build sheet said I'd rather it still had it on.

Horses for courses though.

my xb GT is supposed to have a vinyl roof, but hasn't. two factors have decided it's fate. 1 is finding a competant enough person to do it exactly as factory and 2 is i'll be selling it shortly and believe people would be turned away because it did have a vinyl roof.

I know of a guy in Victoria who does an excellent job of Ford Falcon Vinyl Roofs.He told me that he used to do XY's for Ford and stuff when they were new or something??I would have to try and find his details if anyone is interested.He can even do it properly without removing your Front and Back Windows if you wish !!!

I believe the majority of people would not be worried if the vinyl roof was not there, as mentioned above most likely more people wouldn't buy a GT with vinyl roof than purists after 100% factory specs.

I personaly would redo it if its needed as it will stand out from the crowd

Ultra Onyx

My ultra white xa gt coupe has the vinyl roof option but was never put back on when it was restored years ago.I have all the strips for it,but I would really like to see a white coupe with one fitted before I decide to refit it
I personally think it would look good,but do you guys think?
