Hey All

I was hoping that somebody could post a shot or two of the rear end of an XB GT Coupe.
I am going with a new twin system, and want to configure it so that I have the oblong tips (GT style) coming through the panel below the rear bumper.
I assume the exhaust runs through and sits just either side of the fuel tank, but want to make sure of the exact positioning as I need to have that small panel chopped to accomodate the outlets.
PS Was the rear of the sedan and coupe identical in this setup?

Any comments or photos would be greatly appreciated.

perhaps get a fibreglass repro panel, fit it and make your measurements off that.

Xbcoupe i have a sedan and my dad has a hardtop both have twin system exhausts, and the setup look exactly the same.

IMO i would just do what XACoupe said or preferably hunt around for an original Gt rear stonetray, becuse the holes for the Gt tips are folded inwards, There not just cut out

Paull - I couldn't make out the rear exhausts in detail from the photos on that site (may be my crappy pc!) but am very happy to have found the site-thanks.

XA Coupe - I was completely unaware that you could buy repro panels like that, but I will look into it for sure-thanks.

XA GT 351 - Your photos confirmed what I thought (and were greatly appreciated) the exhausts travel through between the leafs and the fuel tank.
I wouldn't have thought that there would not be a bountiful supply of those genuine GT panels floating around these days.

Will do some hunting.

no probs. I got one from GT Ford performance. From memory it was ~$130. I haven't put it on yet.. a few more things to do before that.

No problem xbcoupe,They are still floating around somewhere. Check the trading post. I saw one a while back for $300.

I was lucky to get mine off a $500 XBGS Coupe that my oldman bought for parts. It was bent on one side, but was quite easy to repair.

That's cheap, I just bought a NOS GT rear stone tray for $280.

Mine is a repro fibreglass one. Given the car isn't a genuine GT I couldn't see the value in getting NOS. Leave them to the guys with the real thing

that exhaust looks pretty loud..i bet it attracts the cops when ya put ya foot down?
