Can anyone tell me if a XB GS Falcon with a factory fitted 351 2v,auto,would come std with a 9" diff ?? I have seen the XB showroom brochure and it says that Limited slip is mandatory with the 351.Just curious if this means it would or should be a 9".Looking at buying one interstate.Got compliance plate photo and it is definately factory 351 (K).And did the 9" come std with drum brakes in the XB.I know GT XB was std with rear disc.

Probably 9" with a 351...

All XB 351s had the nine inch.Some had discs and some had drums,some also had the traction bars as per the GT.My coupe has drums with traction bars but I have seen other original cars with discs and some without bars.

All factory 351/5.8 cars from XW through to XC November 1978 (including Fairlanes and LTD's) had the 9 inch fitted as standard. Disc barke rear ends were standard on all 'T' code cars from XB/ZG/P5 onwards.
