frown XB V8 Fairmont on Unique cars

http://uniquecars.carpoint.ninemsn.c...s=uniquecarsau

Someone tell me this car is somewhere close to $10,000 overpriced.

What's so special about it, its only a 4dr v8 fairmont.

Your dead right
It might also be a misprint, doubt it though seems to be a lot of dreamers out there maybe he is related to that guy thunder selling his xc gt for 5 million dollars
Last week there was an xc ute on ebay for sale for $20000
It had done 168000 klms nothing special
I emailed the guy and told him he was dreaming and guaranteed he would not get even half that and that you could get a good xb gt for that
He emailed me back and said you must compare apples with apples and
oranges with oranges
I think he had been drinking too much apple cider

if it has been "fully restored" then it's simply a case of trying to recover the money spent on it.. for a bit more money though, you could almost pick up a clean XB GT

Re: XB V8 Fairmont on Unique cars

initially they were asking 18k for it, the guy is simply dreaming. XB GTs are going for that much and cheaper at the moment, and sometimes their owners are struggling to sell at those prices, you can find a neat XB fairmont everyday of the week. My brother recently bought an immac one owner unrestored XA Fairmont fact 302c for 5k.

If people could restore ANY car, spend big bucks on it and then simply sell it to recover ALL costs and sometimes make a few extra quid, everyone would be doing it. Very few cars can achieve this.

I hope he is a good salesman!!!

Its a realy nice car and he has proberly spent alot of money but its a bit pricy .
In saying that if you were in the market for that particular car you would be hard pressed to find a better example or build one to that standard for that money .

I got offered $10k for mine pre C4 blow up. I was semi tempted to sell. I dare say I got that offer because it wasn't stock though

If I was still looking for one I'd buy it if I knew it had been done right.I had been looking for a good sedan for about 12 months and saw NO good factory V8 cars for sale.Even if you picked up a tidy driver for 4-5K you could easily spend another 10 large on "a quick tidy up" once you started.
Show me a neat XB V8 Fairmont for sale everyday of the week and I'll buy all 7 of them.

We must be talking 4 door models ,as the 2 door ones are getting a wee bit hard to get from my opinion.
