XC Coupe 78

Does anybody have any figures as to the value of an XC GS falcon coupe these days? I'll be looking to buy another coupe in may/june with a budget of about 7-8k. just wondering what i could get for that. I thought i would be able to buy quite a decent car for that price but for some reason i'm doubtful, especially considerring the shitters ive seen for sale for over six grand in Unique Cars etc.

Any opinions? am looking for a coupe with little to no rust, straight body, matching numbers, preferably a 351 manual. Interior not too worried bout as long as it isnt slashed up or anything. anyway, i think you all get the idea.

Mate, I think you will be looking for a while. Most coupes A,B and C with 351 4 speed are hard to come by. I would say that you will need approx 10k to get somthing reasonable. I would buy a car thats been stripped ready for body work, as most supposedly good coupes seem really badly fixed up, or full of bog. Organise the work your self and know how good it's done when it's finished. When I bought mine, it had no rust and looked very straight, I rated the paint fairly harshly at 7 out of 10 (most people thought it did'nt need a re-paint). I instantly decided to re-paint the car and sheeeit...what I found underneath has hurt me pretty badly. I am spending 20k on body and paint. At the end of the day I know it will be perfect and I will not have to worry about anything else body wise unless an accident happens along.
