i have the xc ford manual the big thick ford one, but under the trim codes it has no z? what is Z is it a XB code or are they trying the new XD trims? or what? (my xc is 78 so its towards teh end of the xc)

XC Falcons ought to be the same as ZH Fairlanes... GreenMachine's ZH has a trim code of Z, which is parchment velour. Here's his chassis plate: http://nickheywood.fotopic.net/p9031954.html. What year is your XC? The Z code is for a late model such as 78-79, that is why you want find it in that manual. It is Ochre / Saddel, and Z2 is Ochre / Saddel Vinyl - cloth. The paint code for Z is sheerwood green i think? Hope that has been some help. John

Apologies - yes, the Z paint code is Sherwood Green. I thought that was the trim code on that plate, but it's hard to read.

yea taht helps its a 78 so its was orginallya saddle color i was suprized to find out that the orginal box was t bar crusicmatic (is taht teh same as teh xd's 3spd floor shift auto) but it has its orginal 351 in her and manuals are more fun lol
