cheerio
There are a lot of people out there looking for factory orignal xc falcon coupes with 351 & gs rally pack option so they must be a little thin on the ground.
There seems to be quite a few 302 falcon coupes out there but that is not what the byers are looking for, the day is very close that they will have to take what they can get or the coupe they will end up with will be a ricer.
Regard`s James.

I agree I see more XA - XB Coupes going around than XC's, that could be that they are more popular or there's not many XC's in Coupes other than in Cobra form.
I've seen one (non Cobra) for sale for $15000 not to long ago in Perth.
there's not many XC's in Coupes other than in Cobra form.
There are alot more than Cobras, there were only 400 Cobra's built remember.
I will try to find out how many XC Coupes and get back to you all.
I had an XC Coupe police pursuit special, 351 FMX, 9", in restorable condition, advertised it for $5000, sold it the same Thursday night that the trading post came out for $5600. There were two people bidding for the thing..bloody keen.

How long ago was that ? And how many of them were on the books, If I was getting chased down by one of them I would have to drop a slot & see whet it could do , we set the extractors glowing cherry red one night keeping up with the old XD nsw unmarked highway patrol car in the snowy`s (but that was in a hq 350 2 door) lol
good fun back then but not today.

the problem with the XCs IMO was the pollution controls. In stock small port form they were not really a performance car, especially the Autos ( which are far more common ) so I guess they didn't sell well.
I would be interested if anyone has figures for the coupe build nos
Yeah you dont see many XC coupes, maybe like what XAcoupe said, the pollution may have killed them of a little,I mainly see GXL's in the sedan's, but that could be because I love the look of them and they stand out more than other's.

There are a fair few here in Perth, but they are only driven every so often ,mainly on clubruns.
They should come out in the next weekend with the Yarloop run on together with many other classics
Classic cars in the "loop" in Yarloop!
Rare? Depends on your view. From a Yanks view point, all coupes (actually hardtop, as coupes have a stationary B-pillar between the door glass and the rear quarter glass) are rare as there were only 22069 XA/B/C coupes built from Dec 1971 to very late 1978. Of these, there were 1840 GT's, 1385 Landau's, 7303 Fairmonts, 11139 Falcon 500s (260 were John Goss Specials), and 400 Cobras. Total XC coupe production numbers were:2262.....that's it....so, get 'em while you can cause Ford ain't buildin' them anymore......
